RACING:

1. Do not be disrespectful to other drivers or teams, and always act in a mature manner.

2. Drive with confidence, however drive clean, fair, and with patience.

3. If you host a race, do not quit. Unless an issue arises and you must leave.

4. Try not to "revenge" drive. On track incidents do happen that is part of racing. Be the better driver, and let it go.

5. Try not to "block". Blocking and hindering a faster opponent, is unsportsman like. If you are a hinderance to a faster car, please drive a different line to allow the other driver to pass, when it is safe to do so. You may drive a line which could deter passing on the last few turns of the final lap to protect your position, however once a line is chosen, do not deviate from your line in an attempt to block.

6. Try to share the track. Some tracks allow for some exciting side by side action, and areas where passing attempts can happen. When a pass is intiated by you or another driver, you will maintain your race line, or compensate your line to allow two or three wide racing.

7. Try to keep it clean. Race incidents do happen, mistakes will be made, however any blatant attempt to cause another driver to wreck, or run off the course is unacceptable. The driver should never attempt to gain a position by leaving the racing surface (cutting corners, or accelerating through the run-off pavement).

8. Try to be patient. There will be plenty of times when another vehicle may be hindering your race. Do not force the issue on attempting a pass in an unsafe area. Learn the track to know where to pass.

9. Try to be aware. Racing incidents or mistakes may happen in which your vehicle will leave the racing surface. When re-entering the track, do so safely. Choose the non-race line, or wait to allow other vehicles to traverse that section of the course. Also be aware of the the vehicles around you. If a pass is intiated, do not cut down in a corner.

Online Drifting: (additional rules)

1. Try and move out of the way. Due to the lack of content available with GT5P, online drifting practices will be held during races. At the start of the race, please accelerate normally and move your vehicle off the racing surface.

2. Try and continue with the flow of the race. DO NOT drift on only one section of the track.

3. Try and stay out of the way. DO NOT disrupt the flow of the race. Pay attention to the location of the racers, and when necessary move off the track to allow the racers to pass, then continue with the drifting practice.
