Race Officials

There are no race officials on the track to issue warnings or to flag drivers. The driver rules and etiquette will need to be upheld on a gentlemanly basis. If you are in doubt, if you broke a rule, ask a surrounding driver, if there was an infraction.

Keeping it "Real"

There is obviously no way to simulate real life in a game. The lack of true physical harm won't prevent a driver from taking un-necessary risks. The penalty system is harsh, and will motivate drivers, to be patient and drive their vehicles within their respective limits.

Pit Road

Speed limit is 65MPH.

Reporting Race Violations

Drivers may report race violations, on PM basis to an LRL Event/Race Coordinator. The PM must include the header "Race Violation", the body will include the driver responsible, class series, vehicle make/model, and rules infraction.

Legit-Racing League Terms

Race - Single race

Event - 1 or more races

Series - 1 or more events

Racing Rules:

I Vehicle Settings

1. Vehicle must be one of the available make/models for the series.

2. Vehicle must be rated at or below the power point limit set for the class of event.

3. Vehicle must use the available tire rating for the class of event.

4. Vehicle must adhere to any set of special rules for that vehicle.

II Driver

1. Driver is responsible for signing up for a series during the registration period.

2. Drivers are allowed to substitute drivers for a race within a series. The driver will not gain any championship points or provisional points; however, the team will generate team championship points

3. Driver must set aside time to compete and allow enough time to complete a race within a series. If a driver does not show up for a race, the driver will forfeit, his position and the next available non-qualifying driver will be allowed to participate. Forfeit drivers will not be able to gain any provisional points. If the driver must leave for a RL issue during a race, the driver is considered to get a DNF and no points or provisional points are awarded.

III Racing

1. Vehicle must stay within the racing surface at all times during qualifying and "generally" stay within the racing surface during a race. The racing surface will be identified as a solid white line on the edge of the pavement and a solid yellow line on "Oval" Super Speedways. Vehicles must be completely within the racing surface to pass. If a pass is completed while infringing the white/yellow line rule, the driver must yield the position. No obvious shortcutting is permitted, this means that driving off the racing surface to avoid navigating a series of turns to gain position and/or time is not allowed and will be penalized.

2. Drivers will make it their utmost responsibility to not make contact with another vehicle.

3. Blocking is not allowed. Do not suddenly deviate from a chosen racing line, in an attempt to prevent a pass. The driver may choose a racing line, which could deter passing, utilizing the white/yellow line.

4. Do not attempt to slow the pace of the race. This means that if you are a "slower" vehicle, make adjustments to allow the faster driver by. This also includes any un-sportsmanlike conduct where a driver will purposely run a slower pace to disrupt the flow of the race, which could force errors on other drivers. If your vehicle is one or more laps down, and the vehicles on the lead lap are closing behind you, the lapped driver must yield to the lead lap cars.

5. Bump drafting is not allowed. We have a NO CONTACT policy here at Legit-Racing League.

6. Do not race in an overly aggressive manner. Judgment will be made on a per case basis.

IV Points

The first race of any championship series, the top 12 qualifiers for the race will need to qualify to enter the field.  Afterwards the top 10 will qualify, and the last two spots will be awarded to the drivers that have the most current series points.

The winner of the class driver championship will be the driver with the highest point standings at the end of the series, in the event of a tie, the driver with the most 1st place finishes will win, then continues along with most place finishes. If there is a complete tie we will have a special race with only the tied drivers racing.
